If I love my Provider, why does the Hospital Matter?

In her book “Babies Are Not Pizzas: They Are Born Not Delivered” (available in the Childbirth Together Library), Rebecca Dekker, PhD, RN, claims that while you may love everything your specific provider is telling you, their personal believes and ideal situations may not be supported by their superiors and nursing staff, making it less than likely that they will be able to give you the type of birth support you want. Due to hospital hierarchy systems, the best way to find the type of birth support you are going to receive is to look at hospital statistics as a whole. Unfortunately, these stats can be hard to find! So, I’ve put together a list of hospitals in my area provided links to their stats. If your hospital isn’t listed below, feel free to send me an email and I will add it to the list as quickly as possible!
